About Jenn & Karla
Jenn Fasano and Karla Waldron are two devoted advocates for women’s health, wellness, and community empowerment. As the founder of Babes in Business Long Island and the Executive Director of Mondays Cancer Care, Jenn and Karla lead mission-driven organizations built on heart, impact, and the belief that community is everything.
Over the years, their friendship has been rooted in mutual support, collaboration, and a shared passion for serving women in all stages of life. But after losing three extraordinary women from the Babes community to stage 4 breast cancer—each far too young and deeply impactful—Jenn felt an undeniable pull to do more. She turned to Karla, knowing that together, their combined experience, networks, and hearts could create something truly powerful.
Their partnership gave life to Beyond the Ribbon: Their Legacy, Our Mission—a first-of-its-kind event blending education, prevention, community, and remembrance. This night is about more than raising money—it’s about raising awareness for the urgent need to prioritize women’s health. With more and more young women being diagnosed with breast cancer, often in advanced stages, Jenn and Karla are committed to starting conversations around early detection, self-advocacy, preventative care, and access to support.
The evening will feature a Wellness Lounge with hands-on educational experiences, a Vendor Marketplace filled with community connection, and a panel of experts offering tools, resources, and insight for navigating care. It’s also a chance to gather, celebrate, and remember.
Most importantly, this event honors the legacy of the three women we’ve lost—their strength, their stories, and their families. Their impact lives on, and this event is a way to keep their light shining by helping others.
Sponsored by Northwell Health, this is more than a fundraiser—it’s a movement to revolutionize how we care for women, talk about breast health, and show up for one another.
Together, Jenn and Karla are creating something bigger than themselves. They’re creating hope.
